EVENTS

May 5^th: Revolve Tour GIRLS ONLY Join other girls as you unite in Christ at an edgy conference to be held at Ovens Auditorium.  The conference is fro 9am-4pm.  You will leave Southbrook Church at 7:30am on Saturday Morning.  The cost is $61 dollars.  This covers the price of the ticket.  You will need to bring additional money for spending/food.  For more information or to sign up please visit our student ministry table on Sunday Morning.

May 13^th: Mothers Day (No High School Service)

May 20th: Mandatory meeting for those going to Summer Camp 12:30pm in the student ministry room at the Weddington Campus.

June 3^rd: Mandatory meeting for those going to Summer Camp 12:30pm in the student ministry room at the Weddington Campus.

June 9^th- 15th Missions Trip to Haiti (IMPACT STUDENTS)

June 17^th: Fathers Day (No High School Service)

June 18^th-22^nd Summer Tour Stop #1 SUMMER CAMP: //AUDACIOUS// Join us for 5 days as we head Wake Forest University to attend a Student Life Camp (www.studentlife.com).  Includes lodging, food and transportation.  Open to Middle School and High School students.  There are a limited number of spots remaining!  Cost is $280/person prior to January 1^st and $350/person after January 1st.  Stop by the Student Ministry Table on Sunday mornings to register or contact Pastor Billy at Billy@southbrookchurch.com.

June 27^th Summer Tour Stop #2 MERGE: TOUR PARTY@ Weddington Campus 6-8pm.  Join us for a night of fun, music and food.  Invite your friends and get ready to have a great time as we celebrate the 2012 Summer Tour!

July 4^th: No Summer Tour Event Planned

July 8^th: Mandatory meeting for those going on the New Hampshire mission’s trip.  12:30pm in the student ministry room.

July 11^th Summer Tour Stop #3 SERVE ON:  Show up at Southbrook Church (Weddington Campus) ready to get your serve on.  There will be various team-based projects that you can participate in that will help beautify the Church and the various ministries that are operated out of it.  This event will be held from 9am until 3pm.  Earlier drop off is available, please contact Pastor Billy for details.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  Meet in the Student Ministry Room at 9am for orientation.

July 18^th Summer Tour Stop #4 DODGE BALL TOURNAMENT: Join us as we have an old fashion dodge ball tournament.  Teams will be randomly selected and prizes will be awarded to the top team. This event will be held from 5-8pm in the Weddington Main Auditorium.  Make sure you bring a pair of sneakers.  Food will be provided. Tube socks and headbands are encouraged!

July 25^th Summer Tour Stop #5 LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! Join us as we re-create a Hollywood Classic in a unique team based atmosphere.  This event will be held at the Weddington Student Ministry room from 5-8pm. Food will be provided for all, and prizes will be awarded to the top team.

August 1^st – 5^th Johnston City Missions Trip: We will be taking 11 Middle School students and 4 adults on 3-hour mini bus Johnston City, TN to partner with East Ridge Church (a new church plant in the area).  We will be working with the church to reach the local community in various ways (promoting services, working with local outreach organizations and assisting with hands on maintenance projects).  We will be staying at a local hotel during our stay. This trip will be a great opportunity to see the work of Christ (through the local church) in a smaller community.  The cost is $275/person and includes transportation and food.  This trip will fill up quickly, so reserve your spot today!

Aug. 10^th: Incoming 6^th Grader Meeting: Join us as we welcome the new incoming 6^th graders and their families.  This event will be from 6pm-7:30pm in the Student Room at the Weddington Campus.  This event is open to all student and adult leaders.  Help us welcome the incoming 6^th graders.

Aug. 7^th-13^th: New Hampshire Missions Trip (High School Only): Join us as we head over to Lebanon New Hampshire to partner with Riverbank Church and assist them with the work God has called them to.  We will be cleaning up, painting, yard work, working with a homeless shelter and various other activities.  Includes lodging, food and transportation.  Open to High School students only. The cost is $375/person

Aug. 18^th: Back to School Party HIGHLAND GAMES: The Highland Games are coming to Southbrook.  You must come in a KILT (make your own) in order to play. Join us as we put you on a team.  You must represent your clan well to win the coveted trophy. This event will be held at the Weddington Campus.  Please make sure you wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and a towel.  This event will be held from 6-8:30 pm.  Food will be provided.  Families are encouraged to attend. There will be a special ‘parent’ clan and a little kids zone complete with bounce house.

Aug. 19^th: Welcome the Incoming 6^th Graders! This is the day incoming 6^th graders will join us.

Aug. 25th: Adult Leader Meeting (2013 Planning) This meeting will be located in the main conference area of the church offices from 8am – 10am.  Breakfast will be provided.

Sept. 1st: Student Leader Training/Appreciation: Learn how to be effective in ministry and in your gifting. Join us from 6pm until 7:30pm at the Student Ministry facility at the Weddington Campus.

Sept. 12^th: Student Life Groups Begin: MS/HS 6:30pm-8:00pm (Student Building)

Oct. 27^th: Hell Awareness Party. Meet us at the student ministry building for an awesome time!  This is a themed event so be sure to come dressed up.  Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.  Team collaboration is encouraged.  This event will take place from 6 pm- 8:30 pm. Food will be provided.

Nov. 14^th: Life Groups.  Last night of life groups.

Dec. 8th: MERGE: Our Christmas Party is being planned now.  Details will be available in the fall.
